Lets talk rye grass

I didn't take any pics, but the perennial rye grass is sprouting on my all sand trail. The weather in the UP is still dang cold. It'll be interesting to see how it does once they get more sun and get warmer. I think it is going to work. I will probably need to overseed it next spring I'm guessing to really thicken it up.
 
Have you considered a low growing clover like Dutch White?
 
I can't speak to the OP but I have piggy-backed on his thread.

I personally don't want food on the trails. I want the deer to eat at the plots. I am just looking to solidify the sand trails with any root system. I'd be happy with weeds on the trails.

Exactly what I am looking for. Sounds like it might be working. Good to hear, keep us posted as the summer goes on.
