So I did a little grafting this spring back in about mid-April (some were various bought pear scion onto an existing Bradford pear and some were various of my own and bought apples/crabs onto a couple different existing apple trees). These are all at my house so I can (and do) keep a close eye on them. Some of the grafts are just starting to get leaves on them. Is this concerning? Is there a thought on whether they will survive? I’ve just never seen grafts awaken this long after being grafted. It is interesting to note that the scion that was purchased was pretty thick but I don’t know if this has anything to do with it.
