Late awakening apple/pear grafts?

So I did a little grafting this spring back in about mid-April (some were various bought pear scion onto an existing Bradford pear and some were various of my own and bought apples/crabs onto a couple different existing apple trees). These are all at my house so I can (and do) keep a close eye on them. Some of the grafts are just starting to get leaves on them. Is this concerning? Is there a thought on whether they will survive? I’ve just never seen grafts awaken this long after being grafted. It is interesting to note that the scion that was purchased was pretty thick but I don’t know if this has anything to do with it.

My pear grafts last year woke up anytime between May and the end of July. They are fine.

One year I had a pear graft that didn't wake up until the following spring, a year later.

Pears are slower for me and I usually will not put in there permanent location until babying them for two years. This is the reason I assume pears are often priced higher than apples at places that sell them

IF the graft union didn't heal, they'd be long long dead........ Probably won't put on much this year, but next year it'll do good.

I've been wanting to post a pic of a grafted winter wildlife on m111 from ladt year. Barely made a 2nd set of leaves past the original buds in 2024. Now it's 3ft tall and has 2 or 3 laterals.

They make a decent sized leaf, theyll be ok. Grafts that have trouble making a decent sized leaf are probably doomed. If they wake up late, they miss a growth spurt.
