Free choice baking soda for wildlife?

I was strolling around the fleet farm tonight and picked up a bag of deer cane to read the ingredients. In their powdered form, they have baking soda. I've also come across some grazers that feed baking soda free choice to their animals. I wonder if the wildlife would use it?

That’s Interesting. I used to sprinkle it on my hunting clothes about 40 years ago hoping to eliminate oders.

If it attracts deer I’d say adding some salt would make it better. If you want to experiment check out a pool
Supply store for sodium bicarbonate. It’s baking soda in a big bag much cheaper then a small box in the grocery store.

We have nigerian dwarf goats at the farm. Part of keeping them healthy is having free choice baking soda out for them (along with minerals). They don't go through a lot. These are caged animals though. Assuming your deer are not high fenced, I'm not sure on the need as I'd assume they get whatever they need from it naturally.

I'm not certain. I know it's fantastic for human health, but it's fantastic at countering the devastation from the SAD. I don't know if a critter eating real un-poisoned food will get anything from it. I bet it'd be huge in highly acidic soil areas.

Standard american diet

Gut health, lowers blood pressure, reduces inflammation, increases bodily pH, knocks out heartburn, etc etc etc.

If I'm sick, I'll do 1 tsp in 8 oz of water 3-4 times a day. Raise up the body pH, makes your body inhospitable to disease.

Baking soda is full of sodium. It can and does increase blood pressure in people.
