@bwoods11 and @jsasker007 much respect for coaching. Not an easy job but what an opportunity to do some good in the world!

I am fortunate to have coached some travel softball. Also did hitting lessons in my shed. I really enjoyed it but it became a lifestyle and all the time I was spending wasn't fair to my wife. Have some great memories and I’m glad I did it.

Do you think that your time sheet and the material allocation sheet helps your employer determine if the amount charged to the customer is the proper amount or maybe it helps with inventory?

Hell no, I know for a fact that Elon can't possibly read 3 million emails a day.

How do we know that the federal employees aren't already reporting hours and material allocated?

Maybe Elon should be holding supervisors and department heads accountable instead of every single employee. Isn't it the supervisors and department heads job to make sure that their direct reports are doing their job?

I see that here in my area of Western Minnesota. My county voted 75% Trump, but the local government workers are mostly Democrat?

Same with teachers. The Minnesota DNR is mostly Democrats? What gives here, are they biased at hiring ? Is it the culture ?

Why would it be 50/50?
How would any employer/potential employer know what your political preference is.
Wouldn't it be illegal for a employer or potential employer to ask what party you support?
Wouldn't it be illegal for and employer to require you to support the same party they do?

I said shouldn’t it be 50/50? How can it be 90% in the DC area for instance ? Your points are correct ….It’s illegal but clearly happening! Especially in Washington DC, they are hiring based on party . No other way it is 90%.

Have you ever seen the Presidential election results from Washington DC ?
 
My wife works for the USPS, she thinks they may have to end up writing down what they do for however many days DOGE asks for. She isn’t worried about it.
I work at a chemical plant. Over the past thirty years we have been time studied a few times and some people have been laid off, not uncommon for businesses at all.

Yes, that's exactly why almost every workplace requires production reports.

You sure made it sound like you expected Musk to go over every email.

We don't know. If they are, it will be an easy email to create. If they haven't been, then this is definitely needed.

Which is exactly why the emails are going to supervisors, and why articles are saying those supervisors will decide on any actions to be taken after receiving them.

I will believe in fraud and waste when its charged ,, waste i get ,, FRAUD can and should be a chargeable offence ,, time will tell no charges = no fraud
 
We did time studies with the govt plenty of times. 15 min increments at least once
 
I sold to the Gov in a previous life. Lots of waste... they would send out a bid for a replacement cable assembly for a (tank, airplane, missile, etc) and in the package it straight up said drawing package NOT available. They designed it, they approved every part in the system but wouldn't pull a drawing. If I had the drawing they paid a mighty good price for it because chances were high that no one else had the drawing to be able to build it or even quote it. $200 toilet seats exist because the drawing was to hard send out with the quote request and it was just a part number. Elon was right they don't care because it's not their money.
 
I’m late here but chalk me up as one who thinks we should pay down debt……not try to buy votes like the D’s do.

But the flip side is that you have to win elections to have a seat at any table and tying our own hands behind our backs is a losing strategy.

There were 3,400,000 federal employees in 1990 and 3,000,000 last year. It has been lower than that. 2014 there their were 2.7 million. There was a fair bit of downsizing in the earlier 2000’s. You must be young😎

I think it was close to 400,000 federal employees? But... he had a chit eating grin and a sparkle in his eye so paying off women and firing massive amounts of people was considered good by the media/liberals/and democrats. Pot meet kettle. Not saying what they did are exactly the same, but the response has been predictable.
 
The current cesspool doesn't give one solitary Sh!t about balancing the budget. We are cooked financially.

Hopefully Trump speaks up and gets the current spending bill amended, but again, I'm not holding my breath due to his track record.

He’s got the best track record I’ve ever witnessed. Maybe Joe’s wife could have done better. But I doubt it.

Congressional staffers are federal employees. I think they should all get cut. We are looking for pennies right?
