Dividend Check

To me it is a ridiculous way to try to cut the budget to randomly fire people without any logic or what is best for the country. I am sure some departments have more people than they need and some departments need more people. To me it would make much more sense to cut a percentage of each departments budget then let them figure out how best to handle the cuts. So for example cut every department by 15% except for Social Security (because Social Security should not be considered government money) and then let each department cut the fat. Then I would start a task force to decide how to make more precise cuts in the next four years. The amount to cut is the easy question to answer, we cut until we only spend what we bring in through taxes.

I don't think you will find anyone that thinks trimming fat wasn't necessary. The issue is how they are going about it.

Each of the people that I know of that were fired received letters saying it was for performance. Of course, having been recently promoted, performance wasn't the issue. They were offered buyouts with their terminations. Why would you offer buyouts to poor performing employees? Obviously the letters are designed to prevent future lawsuits, which of course are going to happen with how this all went down.

Congress sets the budgets and passes laws. Trump doing this even with having a majority in both chambers of congress and a majority on the supreme court should be obvious to anyone that this approach is terrible and unnecessary.
I was with you till your last line. I don’t think it is obvious to anyone that this approach is terrible and unnecessary. Both assumptions are subjective. I think the bloat in the government is terrible and unnecessary. Unfortunately the government as employer is a business. If a business is being run the way it is massive changes have to be made or the sustainability is in real jeopardy. I respect that you are close to this situation. And you don’t make unreasonable points. Your peers, friends and colleagues have been affected and that sucks. But so have millions involved in interest rate sensitive environments where rates won’t fall because we can’t service our debt. It’s only going to get worse if we don’t make drastic shitty changes. It sucks but the government is ripe with waste, fraud and bloat.

Has Doge actually found anything that wasn't approved by Congress in a previous budget? I'd be surprised if the all of those USAID programs weren't in a previous Omnibus bill. Rand Paul exposes all of this ridiculous spending on a yearly basis, but nothing is ever done about it. I doubt anything is done about it now.

So far Doge says it has saved 55 billion. Compared to a 2 trillion dollar yearly deficit, that's miniscule.

Question. Could it be possible all this firing deemed unconstitutional at some point and everyone gets their jobs back with backpay? Then obviously USA much worse than when we started?

Doesn't Congress have to approve all spending?

You have to put people in prison that have brought us here. This stuff is just like Hillary’s emails. We all assume we can’t recover them because she had her hard drive professionally wiped. What nobody seems to get is those emails are on every recipients computer as well as in the X-Keyscore NSA data warehouse in Arizona.

All this money went somewhere, and if it’s money there is a paper trail. They’ve stolen so damn much cash, it had to go electronically. They’d need coal trains to move that much actual cash.

Until people start to fry en masse, this will never stop. Those scumbags that are doing all the killing and stealing will be right back in there in 4 years, light years smarter than they are now. If we don’t, we’re gonna keep getting robbed blind and killed off, just like we have been. Nobody is gonna pay for the fake wars, botched afghan withdrawal, covid deaths, covid vaccine deaths, autism, cancer, diabetes, dimentia, heart disease, crime, etc.

No, up until now, the unofficial pardon has been to claim incompetence and get off Scott free. “Well your negligence killed 1.2 million people. You’re bad and can’t work here anymore. Here’s your severance, golden parachute, and some board seats and a consulting job for which you never have to show up.”

And ponder this. If every country on earth is in debt, where did all the money go?

Some of it could be. But that's how Musk operates, smash and break everything then figure out what you need.

Saw on the news tonight that we're going to import eggs from Turkey. Let's fire a bunch of USDA inspectors and then bring in eggs from a foreign country, who's going to check them?

If you are interested in learning more about usaid, I'd suggest checking out Mike benz. He's been talking about usaid for years and is extremely well versed on the subject. He's been making the podcast rounds recently.
I listened to his interview on the shawn ryan podcast. He was also recently on Joe Rogan. It's a multi hour deep dive that I could never do justice by trying to summarize.

We should just get rid of the USDA and FDA, let americans grow their own damn eggs, and get the feds out of the chicken eradication business. The only thing killing chickens out there is the government.

But until that happens, who's checking the food that's being imported?

That food doesn't get checked. I know the illusion is that it's checked, but it's not. Don't buy imported food. Nobody is looking out for your safety. They are just there to make sure the right guy's product gets in, and all the rest are boxed out.

Doubtful. All these agencies are in the administrative branch. Trump is the head of the administrative branch. It would be like telling the head of GM he can't eliminate a department or a work force that isn't needed. It will be challenged but it won't go anywhere.

All due respect, thats not true at all. I'm good friends with a entomologist who runs a USDA facility in Massachusetts.

Honest question, I've never heard of the Administrative branch and couldn't find anything about it in a Google search. Can you expand on what you're saying?

3 separate branches of government. Administrative (sometimes called Executive) Legislative and Judicial. Most of the Departments, EPA, Education, USDA and on and on are part of the Administrative branch. Thus they report to and exist at the will of the president. And my guess is eventually the Supreme Court (Judicial Branch) is going to confirm that to be the case.

Any idea the elements of their process?

I've always heard of it called the Executive branch, thanks.
