2026 Scion Exchange

I remain optimistic on it. Since my experience with Morse has been not everything is/was on the up and up..I semi suspect they gave me a Nova Scotia Seedling instead of the grafted tree I purchased.

If it doesn't seem right after the next couple years, will likely be a candidate for a frankentree.
Our NS crab was purchased & planted in the Spring of 2013. Charlie Morse was still running the show then. I bought 4 varieties of trees from him that spring. NS crab and his Morse hybrid pear have done really well for us. The other 2 varieties - not so much.

I hope your NS pans out & gives you good fruit, GF.

I could use a whole bunch of your scions. I don't have what you're looking for, but I will happily send you some cash or order you some persimmon scions.

I'll pm you.

You good with scions telemark? I consider demolishing a Bartlet and Kieffer that isn't on the best rootstock. Maybe 25 sticks between the both of them. Replacing it with Olympic or two, other another apple/crab.

I can use them. My primary Callery project is near my parents' house, but started a project up near my sister's house up in Wood county. There's a big grove of Callery trees near the soccer fields where my nephew plays, and I grafted a few of them last year to see if I could make edible pear trees for the families to collect on game days.

I'm kicking myself for not taking photos of my results this winter, but I can start a thread and add photos when I'm back in May. A few of the grafts few 4 feet on both buds this summer.
