For you fellows that are wondering where or if your sunflowers sprouted, they did. They deer just ate them the day it happened. Not sure why they’re so attractive to a deer but they are as much of an ice cream crop as anything out there.

Well this was very interesting.. and somewhat disappointing. The milo in RWW Upland is actually a white milo, not a red. As you can see in the photos, much of it is being ravaged already by local birds, many heads will be gone completely. Not ideal for deer hunting purposes.

On the positive note, between the milo and the millet (dropped heads in top of photo), I've never seen so many doves on the property in my life.

I will definitely do another mix like this again, however I will likely make my own or go with a different brand in the future.

Shoot the doves. Filet breast. Wrap in bacon with some cream cheese and a slice of jalapeño between the two breast. Hold wrap together with 2 toothpicks. Cook on a pellet grill, big green egg, or deep fry until bacon is done.
Eat it!
Forget about the deer not having any!
Plant same mix next fall.
