Winter Mushrooms

DiSc0Rd

5 year old buck +
Walking to my blind yesterday I noticed these red and white mushrooms growing along the road. I don't recall seeing them last year, but they are like every 2 foot some big some small. Gilled on the bottom like oysters. Anyone familiar with these. Central Illinois

That looks about right

Look like red russalas to me also. We see a lot of them in the summer and fall. They are poisonous.

I agree. Russula. There are many types, and I have only eaten large ones with burgundy caps. Not sure about the little red ones. Those look a bit past their prime as well.
