What's for dinner?

Bam bam!

A tradition for us on the 4th of July, smoked some beef & pork ribs today ... 6 hours with apple wood smoke. Just add my homemade carolina red sauce and a beverage or 3 :emoji_wink::emoji_yum:

Decided to end the long weekend trying to catch dinner. Beautiful evening. Lady caught her biggest ever, 27.5, just 2 tenths shy of my personal best an I've been at it a heck of alot longer. No fancy pics, just small batch beer batter fish fry. 2 19s were plenty for us.
Just finished the last piece, morning is gunna come way to fast.

Grilled some chicken pieces. A few wings, some legs and thighs. The wings were coated in a Cajun dry rub and finished off with some simple wing sauce. The thighs and legs coated with pit boss chicken seasoning and finished with a light glaze of sweet baby rays sauce. Indirect heat on the Weber until the thighs and legs were at about 170 degrees. Covered and rested for ten minutes.

Man my son wanted to go for wings tonight. Now I wish we did!

Probably should go on the canning thread, but we did refrigerator pickles this weekend. Jazzed them up a bit with jalapeno, red chili flakes, etc. Actually pickled cucumbers, green beans, asparagus, & Brussel sprouts ... should be good for some great bloody mary's ...

In Wisconsin we pickle everything ... pigs feet, gizzards, northern pike, etc. If you want a real crowd pleaser at deer camp, serve up pickled hard boiled eggs and dark beer. Make sure you leave the windows open ... :emoji_astonished::emoji_flushed:

I like pickled deer heart and tongue, my buddies wife dose it up for us once a year.

Used to eat those pickled eggs at Chief Lake lodge on the Chip and swig them down with a pitcher of Leinie Northwoods. Ah the memories. Sad part is I was skinnier back then than I am now.

H2O’s tuna recipe.
Only I used chicken because my family won’t eat cat food. Me I love tuna..
