Mort, here he was in March before shedding after a long hard winter and breeding season. I figured he was 3 yo last year, but he could have been 4. I have some more pics of last fall somewhere if I haven’t deleted them.

Heck! Yes! I had to do a double take. I thought he had shed his velvet already at a glance. Looks pretty thin though. Won’t be long.

Velvet is so deceiving but I'd guess 165" give or take 5" most likely higher.

If you look close, you can see the wires from my solar panel hanging out its mouth.

I have not been getting many pictures the past couple days. I sent take picture command to a camera this morning and it returned this. Could my timing be that good, of was it ir triggered?

Looks like a button buck to me. Some of the older fawns at my place have lost their spots and look just like your deer pictured.
