I ordered a Stihl 261 from sawsuppliers.com I believe they are based in Wisconsin. At this point I strongly suggest shopping somewhere else! Ordered the saw a week ago yesterday. Said my order was confirmed and that I would get an email as soon as it was shipped. Pretty standard business. To this date no email saying it has shipped. Called multiple times and the recording always says no one is available to take your call at this time. I have left 2 voicemails, no return call. I have sent them an email to the email they provided with the order confirmation, as of yet no response. Seemed like a legitimate business, but I know I will not be using them ever again.

I ordered a saw & a couple extra chains from them 2 years ago. They shorted me a chain, but shipped it as soon as I told them. I had no complaints.

Finally got an email yesterday saying it was shipped. That it was actually out of stock when I ordered it, but their system didn't know that, so it took the order. They SAID they sent an email a few days ago stating that they were out of stock, and my options were to cancel and get a refund or wait until their shipment was to come in this week and then it would be shipped. I call BS on that email ever being sent as I got every other email from them and I checked my SPAM. My guess is that they didnt want to lose the sale and they knew that they had inventory coming in this week. I wouldn't have been pissed if they had actually responded to my voicemails, answered their phone when I called multiple times, or returned an email over the last 3 days when I had got tired of them not responding. They did say they are refunding 10% of my cost and they put a "couple of extras" in the box. I got the label email from UPS yesterday so we will see if it ships. I will report back when/if the order shows next week.

I bought a bar and chain from them without issue. I don’t know for sure, but certain things make me think they’re a lot smaller operation than people might think.

I would not disagree with that comment. Their website gives the impression that they are fairly large, but when you start reading through things on their website it makes you think they copy and paste a lot of information. On their return page it says they will not accept returns of food or flowers, amongst other items. WTF Makes me think they just copy and pasted some other website's return policy.
