RIP Milo Hanson

Sad day indeed, rest in peace Milo Hanson. I remember vividly when he shot that buck, what a great time to be a whitetail hunter. Having a surname of Hanson made it even better, my Dad was telling guys at the bar he was his uncle, haha great laughs from that! 10 years ago my pregnant wife and I were in a Cabelas store that had a replica mount of the buck hanging in a show room. She walked up to it and I said that is the greatest of all time, she said meh, but I kinda like that name. 10 years later and my Milo Hanson is thriving and taking up the hunting tradition. Walk tall farmer from Biggar!

I'll have to find the clipping, but I met Milo at an outdoor show in Kansas City in the 90's. What a fantastic human being. He took the time to have a real conversation with me. That whole thing couldn't have happened to a better person.

Still have the old magazines. Never met him but heard he was a good dude. He hung onto his rack all those years and then finally sold to BP last yr for a cool million. Rip
