Planting Supplies

My wife has decided she wants to get me better supplies for growing chestnuts and acorns for Christmas. What am I missing on the list:

- Rootmaker 18 Cells/Trays
- Rootmaker 1 Gallon Containers
- Wire shelving
- Possible Portable Greenhouse - something like this to start: http://www.homedepot.com/p/FlowerHouse-72-in-W-x-72-in-D-x-78-in-H-Deep-Pop-Up-Greenhouse-FHSP300/100069041?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal1_rr-_-100377433-_-100069041-_-N

or I am better off building something out of 2x4's and porch screen to keep yard rats out?

I would pot seeds in the spring once snow melts unless there is an easy way to start in basement and then plant in final destination in the fall.

Is that for outside? If so I'd say you're better of that than a cage.

I start everything in the basement over winter... But don't start too early, because it's difficult to get enough light on them. So they end up getting really tall "reaching" for more light.

I've never grown oaks (or chestnuts for that matter) so you mileage might vary.
