Oak/ chestnut seedling. Protection

How does the pvc work in rocky ground?
I couldn't tell you because we don't have any where I have used these types of stakes.

I would think it might work, may just depend on how rocky.

Got most of the sprouting acorns in pots!

You can see the cages holes ready for the bare roots

I have decided to purchase the tree tubes, the ones that come in a flat sheet. I am gonna go six feet tall.

I am gonna put the oaks in them.

I am not using the tubes on chest nuts, but are persimmon, walnut, catalpa, mulberry, hickory able to grow in the tubes.

That way I can use there cages for the chestnuts!
