NuWay heater

hillrunner

5 year old buck +
I'd like to sell this NuWay heater. I replaced it with a wood burning stove. It's a single burner, works well. It's a little dusty but it's in like new condition. I wasn't impressed with the amount of heat I was getting off it but it seems like I'm the only one on the internet with that opinion so my loss, your gain I guess.
$100 plus whatever it takes to ship it.

I have one single burner stove like this. And I have two, two-burner stoves. The single burner is barely adequate for me in a tight blind (5x6 Redneck) in Minnesota weather. Tho closing a damper and keeping windows closed in single degree weather helps allot. If I add another stove it will be the two-burner model. I'd think anyone in Iowa or south of that would do fine with a single burners.

Any clue what the btu rating of that is?

according to NuWay, if it's an M2000 model, its 12000 btu - if it's an M3000, its 16000 btu

I found you need a damper in the pipe ( chimney) above the stove a ways to realize the full heating ability.

Anybody bite on that deal hillrunner? I'll take it if not. I'd take any double wall you have too? Not sure how much that stuff is locally here. 3" pipe? Any diea how long a 20lb tank lasts on that. A little heat trumps none at all.

I still have it. Pm your address and I'll get it coming your way.
Yes it is 3" pipe. I may have some double wall but it's down at the cabin.

I never heard of double wall 3" pipe. What makes that a good thing?

That's what goes through the roof, keeps it from getting too hot.

The price of double wall goes through the roof too....... $70-150 a section vs 12-20.

I just have single wall and a metal roof jack that keeps the hot pipe from the deer stand. It provides about 2" of clearance from any of the stand materials. No need for an insulated pipe....if you do it correctly. Check out the "kit" offered by Nu-Way. In fact that single wall pipe provides allot of heat for the stand....IMO.

I shoulda looked at this.. Woulda been nice for my canvas tent on western hunts. I currently have a wood stove but it becomes a PITA looking for good dry wood when you're a 20 hr drive from home and stoking the stove through the night.

Yeah....I had a canvas wall tent...and we heated it with a small wood stove. PITA when it's raining and you dont have wood. I think a 3 burner stove may do the job for you if you dont get down to single digits.....but I am not sure. There are likely other brands too.

We've used a Mr Buddy and sunflower heaters a fair bit and tried not to kill ourselves.. A nuway with a pipe to get the fumes out would be a much better peace of mind.

My western tag this year happens to be for Nevada in Sept - probably wont need much heat!

Scooped up the nuway. Thinking single wall pipe does better for heat transfer. Add a flue valve. Could even go up to 6 or 8 inch for more heat transfer, then go back to 3" for a flue valve and out the wall. Have a pipe for the cold air to hit the heater and not you. Helps alot with air drafts from freezing ya out.
