This deer was shot about 19 mi. from my place.

We have pretty good genetics around here although I never seen a buck like that one here. This is a picture of a deer I had under my tree stand bow season a 9 yards in 2011. and never got a good shot at him so never shot. I mounted this buck for this fellow he shot it 3 miles away last day of muzzle loader season.

Those are dandy deer regardless of where they come from. Knowing that deer like that come from your general area is always some nice motivation on those cold, dark mornings when it's tough to get out of bed.
