Lithium camera batteries AA. Ouch!!

Recieved a marketing e-mail from Real World today saying they are now available ($40.80/24).
Interesting. Same price as bezos. I assume Don isn't shipping them for free. So throw a bone to the small biz owner or save a few bucks with Amazon. Hmm

Jeff took your money and went joy riding to space. Don would probably do something better with your money.

I tried these in 2023. Seemed to work well. Got em from Amazon, don’t remember what the price was, but must have been less than Energizers.

I’ve built about a half dozen of these external battery boxes. Ammo can from Harbor Freight, battery from Amazon, chew proof cables from Herd360 https://www.herd360.com/

Also grabbed one of these solar panels from Browning. All work well, never concerned with loosing battery power.

I bought and put up one of those Browning solar panels on Tuesday. Figured it didn't cost much more than one change of Lithium batteries would, so why not.
Of course it's not going to get too much sun until my "drill and fill" drops some leaves off the trees. Hope it works.

24 pack of Ninmax is up to $46. Figures.

I get Energizer lithiums at sams 18 for $35. Slightly higher than ninmax but right up the street.

Hmm. Guessing you get them in Bloomington. That would take me almost an hour to get there, and it's the nearest one to me. I should see if my sister can grab me some in the burbs. I'd pay a hair more for energizer. Potentially way more! Depending on how well these perform.

I haven’t tried ninmax but I did try the blue packaged Amazon lithium batteries, and was disappointed compared to the energizers. The rechargeable ones from trail cam pro were also terrible.

Real World Outdoors started selling batteries. They admitted they were close on price if you bought something else so there wouldn't be shipping

May have been in this thread but I used those Ninmax for videos and there was a bigger difference(Energizer lasted longer/took more videos)- I even commented that I ended up using them for pic only cams though. I wonder how the price will compare to Amazon.
Why doesn't he just buy Energizer in bulk and sell them to us cheap? I came across a # of places where you needed a business account in order to order. THOSE were the cheapest places I found for Energizer.

Don said he chased energizer around trying to get a bulk discount, offering to buy by the pallet, and their best offer was the same $3/battery anyone pays retail.

Except Sam's club is $2/battery?

Today I found some photos taken by my first cam, and old C battery unit. I was surprised at the quality of the pictures. Much better than I'd remembered. Now I'm wondering if I could wire one the these Browning panels into it. (and would it be worth it) I only stopped using it because I hated buying C batteries and they didn't last long. Hmmm....

To be fair he said they offered zero discount from the existing retail price IIRC rather than $3.
