I caught a pretty good sized swarm today too. Not sure if its from one of mine or not yet. Ill check that out tomorrow

Got my 1st of season this afternoon. They moved into a stack of empty boxes I had stored in a temporary shelter.

The reason you caught that swarm is because bees like to live where other bees have lived, the residence apparently helps draw them in to past bee homes. Putting out swarm traps is very easy and works surprisingly well, in fact we find it to be a fun and competitive. I commonly catch double figure swarms yearly with traps without climbing trees and such.
