I found the smaller yellow ones on my property up in our same deer zone. I think there are two varieties and I only found them once. I own a part of the farm that has been in the family for over 100 years.I think I found a big deal on my property. I’m a complete weirdo when it comes to the little things and what they mean. I was out looking for storm damage yesterday and saw this flower along my trail. I’m fairly certain this is a lady slipper.

Is it a big deal? I’ve never seen one, and apparently they only bloom for a couple weeks, and it can take years before they bloom.

Have you got your AC on tonight? The air looks pretty "heavy".
You are slipping. You forgot the deer flies. The drought is almost over. We northerners can get back to bitching about what we’re supposed to, humidity and mosquitoes. The new plot is well hydrated and the new water hole is full!

Is the swamp grass Reed canary? My 2023 cut is rebushing quickly now. Got a good amount of rain and sun into this area this year, and the swamp grass will be 5-7’ tall by hunting season. There are all sorts of pathways thru this area.
