My orchards look same. Figs especially got hammered. same on fields . stunningly beautiful with crimson but spring green up in full bloom. Chance of rain starting tomorrow. Be very timely.Been a tough year in the orchard so far this year. All the peaches but one young tree were lost during a late freeze. Kiefer pears also a bust. The big commercial peach orchards around here - one with 1800 trees - 100% freeze loss
Leaves on the fig trees were killed - but I expect them to come back out but wont produce as much

coons may have to go on a diet this year
Your plots and pond look great. Those who do weather research believe this will be a hot, dry summer in the west and prairies.
What kind of fish do you have in the pond(s)?Fish are active and waiting on the feeder. Water is lowest in my pond I have ever seen. Built pond in 2014

Catfish or the larger fish you see - bluegill, redear, and bass. Redear have done next to nothing. Bass are on the small side - I have not removed enough. I have whittled the catfish down letting folks who like to eat catfish catch them. There are about 25 cat left - would like to remove another 15 or so. They are very wary when it comes to a baited hook. There first one is easy. The second maybe. The third maybe in an hour or two. What kind of fish do you have in the pond(s)?

When we had our catfish pond, we used to keep a trotline in it or jugs. Sometimes, we'd just use shiny hooks left out there. We'd have a catfish every day or so. It was one of my chores everyday, to go check the lines, bring in the fish and skin and freeze.Catfish or the larger fish you see - bluegill, redear, and bass. Redear have done next to nothing.
