Me and grand daughter number four had some success. Not only did she shoot it, she did a heck of a job on a very difficult tracking job - along with her mother - and then after running out of blood - spotted it in a brush pile. I think her momma has picked up some tracking skills from spending a few weeks following african trackers.

I would not have found this deer by myself

Not to be outdone, grand daughter number five got her a turkey😎

all I found was a big old black widow hanging on the rope handle of the gut bucket. I had ahold of the rope handles, both kids had ahold of the handles - it wasnt until I carried the gut bucket off, dumped it, and started to load it back up until I saw this black beauty clinging to one of the rope handles. She probably had been up under the rim of the bucket and crawled out on one of the handles. I relocated her

That’s Great!!!!!

Great memories!

Great job!

Pretty typical day - was replacing four bushings on two disk gangs. First one went without a hitch, all nuts and bolts came loose easily and everything went back together no problem. Second disk gang same thing until I got to last bearing and three of the four bolts that attach bearing were damaged, but half inch driver still got them off. Also noticed the axel or spindle was scored pretty bad but probably make it through this year ok. I need four new bolts and of course it is minimum 25 min drive one way to buy any kind of hardware. Oh well, got to pay property tax tomorrow and will get a restaurant lunch😎

this is one of the fields I planted sunflowers in this past spring. It had browntop millet in it last year. Before I planted sunflowers, millet regeneration was starting to sprout back. I sprayed it with gly to kill it. About a month or a little more after planting sunflowers, millet was getting pretty thick again - 3” tall. Killed it with clethodim that time. When sunflowers were mature, sprayed again to kill the grass and resprouted millet - towards end of august. After that, I let it go - pretty good stand of millet came back by itself. Too bad no doves to speak of.
