Frigid Forage report

WTNUT

5 year old buck +
I planted a 25 pound bad of FF Plot screen. The contents are as follows:

I don't know how well it with handle late fall early winter weather when it comes to standability, but the stalks on the sorghum are huge! Does anyone know where you can order the sorghum other than the WGS that is on the label? I will probably just buy FF again next year, but would like to check the prices in case I need more than 25 pounds (which will do a long screen by the way).

I was going to say 25lbs? What are you screening off? Mexico? haha jk... I planted FF plot screen as well this year.. Did you hit it with Urea at any point after plant?

You have any pictures?

I have planted Frigid Forage Plot Screen 4 or 5 times and every time--with one exception it grew 10-12 feet tall, maybe even taller. The one exception was a wet, cool summer.

This year it is around 9 feet now.

I have a lot to screen for sure. I used all of it and probably another 50 pounds of tall sorghum I think the one bag does about 1600 yard of screen for me at 18 feet wide.

I learned a lot. It takes a lot of fertilizer. I fertilized about 150 pounds of urea per acre at planting time and added another 150 pounds after it got about 2-3 feet tall. I used less fertilizer on some areas and that above worked best. Stalks are as thick as ball bats (bit exaggerated but not much)

I don't have any now, may get some when I go to the farm next.

Got you a photo. This is a photo from sitting inside a F-250 looking into a field that is level with the road. IMG_0797.JPG

I expect the screen to grow through September.
