I spent part of day resetting some cameras and updating what I could to the new firmware. Not sure what happened, I downloaded the update to a SD card and started working my way through a few cameras. I was shocked when I realized I was flashing cdy_l_1_7_0. I was confident I had downloaded the latest right before I left the house. I saw that all of the cameras already had cdy_l_1_7_0. I know some were a few updates behind.
Are OTA updates now working? Seems like some of mine updated on their own to the latest GEN2.

I now have the latest and will be back next week to do the Gen3 updates. The Gen3 caught me off guard when I went up the mtn last weekend and suddenly my app changed and I was ham strung without good service.

you wont get over the air updates until gen 3 is installed , the exception is tracks stand alone cell cameras already get over the air updates. There likely wont be any over the air updates pushed until after hunting season

Does the L series cell home do OTA updates before Gen3? Seems like it is, I thought mine was on 8 and now its showing 10, but then again it looks like my memory isn't real great.

My cell home is the one I cannot do right now because I am crippled and its way high up in a tree. I am going to have to recruit someone young.

L homes did but you need ot do the first gen 3 update manually- all cameras need to be on gen 3 for them to work together so dont update your remotes until you can also do the home unit, current gen 3 firmware is 3.1 on L series and 9.1 on J,G, K

If we're on 9.0 and 3.0, will we get OTA updates? What time line does that happen on? Is a G series home capable of pushing L series firmware to L series remotes?

G series or K homes will need to be updated manually one more time later this year in order for OTA updates to work,(this is all in the notes on the website) and after that G will be able to update L remotes.
L series on 3.0 will not need another update for OTA to work -
Updates take a few hours depending on what the network size is , im not sure when they will push updates out but likely not during hunting season.
