Cuddelink general Q&A recommendations

I paid $15 plus shipping and tax for the most recent firmware from Cuddeback and loaded this same chip into all my cameras. Waited a week for this to show up. How is it possible that I am on the wrong firmware? Not funny now.
you should be able to remove the files from that sd card you bought and copy the files i just emailed you- they made some adjustments after 9.0 and 9.1 so i sent you the latest beta file that will fix your issue - im trying to help you with your system, im not trying to be funny. 9.1 has not been current for several weeks - they send cards out to try to make it easy for people that dont want to load the firmware themselves - the issue with mailing them out is things can change at some point and the card you were sent is not going to be current forever. If you load the files i sent you , future updates should come over the air. If you arent comfortable loading them yourself ,you should be able to find someone local to you that can copy them to a card for you so you dont have to have one shipped to you, its a fairly simple process.

OK....I am going to do as you suggest John. Hard to understand that Cudde would do such a thing...twice in a row. Not sure what to think of that kind of "customer service". But "thank you" for your good and consistent know-how and providing solutions for so many of us. Just wonder how many guys are "out there" that do not have someone like you to get through these issues? This does not speak well for the current state of affairs at Cudde. They better right this ship.....pretty quickly....IMO. Again...thanks for taking the time to straighten my situation out. You are aces in my book.

Purchased a new home base as the old one was being squirrelly.

I was out at the property and didn't have time to call support, so I bought another year's service.

I had abot 10 months left on the old one. Will cuddeback give me a pro rated refund? Do I just call tech support?

you need to call CS , ideally you would have contacted them before you activated the new home so you can move your existing plan to the new home unit -its gets difficult to refund an annual plan that is already purchased - to add an email, you just sign into camp and add your email to the relay - go to device details, and then hit edit in the bottom right corner and it will allow you to add and save an email address for the home you choose.

I figured, but was in a tight spot out there and needed to get it set up.

I'll see if they can help me.

Thanks so much!

And I got the email part sorted now.

Thanks

I thought I was the only one with Gmail issues. I just to make sure I am checking All Mail. Google is not a friend.

if it makes a difference, have T-mobile cell service, samsung cell, and use verizon on my cell cam. could be any one of them. Just bizarre because the ones ending up in spam are random

I always check the All Mail folder in Gmail. It allows me to Trash them after viewing where Inbox does not. I guess that’s why I haven’t had any Spam problems. So far all photos that I see in Gmail have been in app.

Took me a bit, as I first downloaded a zip file and found out that did not work. Took my computer to my land and then loaded the two firmware updates....first on my L-Home camera....and then on my G and J camera models. All is well now....and finally getting pics again.

Thanks John, glad to get to the other side of this debacle. ....and I did learn how to down load files to a SD card and load them in my Cudde cameras. Not that I will ever need to know this again. LOL. I do like seeing the full size images now. Super!!!

So 4-days ago we reset, installed new batteries (and shade solar) and changed SD cards on the two cameras that were still not working after the 3.2/9.2 update. On of them seems to be working fine now, but the other one may be intermittent. They were easy to find originally, because they showed battery days at "0", even though new batteries were put in during the update weeks ago, and images seemed stuck in the queue. But now I'm seeing odd battery day readings for cameras that seem to be sending pictures just fine. Is anyone else seeing a glitch in the battery days report? Cheers, Steve.

Other than the reset on the battery days, mine seem to be working OK and I don't see any glitches looking back on past reports.
Other than my old G camera (which shows about 1500 days) and J cameras (some show 1100+ days), mine reset when I changed batteries. All are on solar.

It is interesting that the only cameras that had trouble taking the firmware upgrades, and the two cameras that did not work right after the upgrade, and the cameras that are showing incorrect battery days, are all L cameras. The G and J cameras seem to have updated well, and I also have a few of those with thousands of battery days. I'm just a little suspicious that the SD card is not making perfect contact with every pin in the SD slot, as removing and replacing the SD card several times solved many of the firmware update issues.

Glad the update is finally working for you, I recently bought 20 PNY SD cards off Amazon for this very reason.
