something isnt right , they may need to look at the camera or the DPb, with new Rayovac d's you should approach 100 days on each bank or more

Can someone help with advise on what to do. I have a J camera with consistent levels over 25. It stopped sending pics to home camera about 5 days ago. Now have over 400 pictures in the que. I was at my lease just Saturday and changed out batteries, and checked level. On Saturday the level came back at 25, good. My other 3 cameras are sending pics fine. Any advise?

clear the que on that camera, if you can check the antenna or swap it with another antenna do so. Change out the Sd card and clear the card and the internal memory if you arent on 8.3 update all your cameras to 8.3 the next time you get the opportunity, if the camera still wont send you need to send it in for service.

Yeah that's what I thought. I have 11 cams a mixture of the old solar panels and AA and dual battey packs. I have solars that are approaching two years without issue (full sun in a field). Most of my DBP run for 245 days. When I get back to the farm I'll switch the batteries for new Rayo Vacs and see what happens.

So I'm new to cuddeback. Just got them in the mail this week. I went backwards on my firmware. Followed the instructions for firmware update and went from 8.0 to 7.9 only to find out theres 8.3. So, why are there two firmware update pages on cuddeback? Update firmware vs Gen 2? Is the 7.9 still useful on some cameras?

7.9 will function fine, but you will not gain access to all the new online features, like being able to adjust camera settings remotely, for one. I believe 7.9 is available under the green update firmware button on the site. For 8.3 there is a grey " get gen 2" to the right of the green button. This will get you firmware with all the latest updates.
You've definitely come to the right place for help. These systems are a bit finicky, but once you get them figured out, will work really well. If you get the chance, go back and read some of the other threads including this one. There is a ton of knowledge on here, and its really saved my ass a few times. If it's posted by a Jon Volkman, read it 2 or 3 times, hes the big dog around here when it comes to cuddeback.

Question: I got a G cell and 4 Js. Does this G not take video? Not that I think I'll use it a ton but there are not any video settings in the menu. Not under advance or easy. Video mode is in the instruction manual....
And as I type this I realize the video set up is in the surveillance menu. Which brings me to my next question. How much data does a 10 sec video use? Are videos worth playing around with?

I sometimes see a delay. And SOMETIME have to do more than just the refresh button to get recent images to show. A change between show "last 7 days" and show "recent" on the photo date selection, will usually bring the newest images to view. But sometime it takes an extra step, like showing only bucks, or showing only favorites, and then turning that back off. I'm still running on 8.1, because I have not had time to travel to the farm and update them all to 8.3, so I don't know if 8.3 might resolve this or not.

they are not synced , they will get there but sometimes it takes a bit. hit" clear all " to update

no video when in cuddelink mode. you cannot transmit video via RF since the file size is to large.

have you read the manual yet? i know nobody likes to read manuals , including me but it will help the learning curve. Download the latest manual under gen 2 firmware updates so you have up to date info.

Except, clear all has proven to have some consequences if your internet speed is not adequate. I only have a Verizon MiFi at the farm, and if I accidentally hit clear all I will be waiting several minutes for things to reload. For me, in that situation, it is much quicker to click back and forth between last 7 days and recent.
Why would I do that?
Yes...I've read, looked up, and read some more. Sometimes type, look up and read all at the same time. Some questions are asked for confirmation of what I "think" I know. You've been super helpful. I "think" I have everything set and will try to get this out today or tomorrow.

How long does it take to for a remote to transmit to home? Home is currently set to email every 2 minutes (I think). I've walked back and forth in front of these things for an hour and have not yet received an email picture from a remote camera. I am getting the home pictures emailed to me but not the remotes.

3 hours into my test and I have one camera that I've not received pictures from yet. All cameras have the exact same settings with the exception of the Loc #. Checked the Home SD and it's got folders for all five cameras but doesn't have pictures in the Loc 5 folder. Loc 5 has 16 pictures on it's on SD card.

I have all my images sent to my email and they are the correct size and quality. However at some point between 10/31 - 11/12 whenever I send a text message to someone using iMessage for texts on my iPhone the images are shrunk by 50% and blurry like you mentioned when they are received. Same thing happens to me when they send them images to me. If I change my messages setting to not use iMessage and use SMS/MMS then they go through fine. Something changed in a iPhone IOS update for me and the others I converse with. I opened an Apple support case and I thought we had it figured out but it only worked for a short time on one phone and the it stopped and went back to small blurry pics again with iMessages again. The iMessages do this even when on WiFi so the cell provider is not part of the issue in my case. Has anyone else had this occur?John or anyone else, what makes this happen to some of the pics via text lately? Just started within the past week and just some of the pics. When I zoom in on the pic that comes across small, it is blurry unlike when I zoom in one that comes across as normal size.
