Cuddeback's Cuddelink

As an FYI, changing my settings to 12hrs is working a lot better for me with having a timer on my cell signal booster. Also I think setting the camera to the right time so it sends when the booster is on helps a lot too. Anywho I am getting my pics twice a day now without issue. Not getting many pics but this is because the public land around me has a ton of acorns and my property basically has none. The deer simply aren't coming on to my property as much. Should start changing here soon.
Lol. Must not be any corn on your place either.:emoji_thinking:

Any idea on more shipments of the double extender packs? Still don't have mine.

I got mine off eBay a week ago. I think it was from Optics Planet.

i would touch base with your dealer again, any dealer that had some on order should have received some by now. If you need a place to pick some up pm me and ill get you a few places that have them.

I absolutely love this system. Still don’t know why I waited so long. The time savings from pulling cards is more than worth the cost. Thanks to all who have shared so much info and especially to John for all that he’s shared.

Anyway...I ordered several dual power banks and would like to get some feedback on D batteries for them. I’m strongly considering the following:

Tenergy 10000mAh NiMH D Battery, Rechargeable High Capacity D Size Battery

They aren’t cheap, but I’m willing to make the investment if they work as advertised.

Anyone have experience with them? Other thoughts?

Also saw these mentioned in another thread:

Rayovac Fusion D Batteries, Premium Alkaline D Cell Batteries

Much lower cost and maybe a better option?

That’s what I’m using but I’ve only had it out for a little over a week. I was using a home brewed dual solar panel to a 12v battery stepped down to 9v to my home cell. Hope I didn’t make a mistake. It ran without changing batteries since May.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I’ll get the Rayovac Fusion Ds for now and see how they last.

Looking forward to your feedback on the rechargeables. Some of the reviews on Amazon were bad, but hard to judge from those sometimes.

I checked on both cameras that randomly went missing from my reports. Both report error04 on the screen and I was unable to reset them until I removed the batteries and waited for the capacitors to drain. One is a J series, the other is a G. All on the newest firmware, all originally placed in the woods with brand new, match brand, batteries. Anyone know what error04 is? It'd be nice to work this out before I leave camp for the weekend. Cuddeback support is not open weekends for me to inquire.

Voltages are low for brand new batteries.

Fusion’s aren’t the cheapest D, other’s are buying Rayovac’s in bulk for a good deal. They’re having success with those as well. Personally, I’m sticking with Fusion’s until they fail me. Mine have been out since Late June.

I ran fusions for awhile too. I haven't seen any difference between them and high energy rayovacs as far as life span....even though the fusions tested at a higher initial voltage out of the pack.

Today first day to try Text pics. Got several this morning, I like it so far, but I’ve got 4-5 emails and no texts. Who knows!

They must have seen our conversation, I just got a Text, but no corresponding email. Lol
I only get emails. None of the texts have ever worked. I have a K series also. I just didn't have time to fool around figuring it out. Hope someone does here...

I just purchased 2 types of D cell rechargeables PowerEx, Tenergy, and EBL. The PowerEx are in my Cellular K series with solar panel attached and are going on 45 days now. I had on set of EBL stop after28 days when one D battery went bad with no solar panel. I still have other EBLs running 45 days with no solar panel but this camera takes far fewer pics.. The Tenergy are in a J series with solar panel and running 45 days.

A couple pics of a cat and her two kittens... G1 with cell cap in solo mode, flash power set on "Indoors", 1MP transmitted pics. Didn't have a card reader with me when I set the cam to check framing and got the tilt pointed down a little too far! :emoji_frowning2:

the relay on cuddeback's site sends to all addresses at once that are on your account so if you are receiving them at one address but not the other its not he provider not on cuddeback and definitely has nothing to do with you dual cell. Some phone providers meter the amount of images you can receive on one text. As an example ATT meters to a max of 1mb so that would be about cuddelink 20 images depending on how many are black and white and how many are color. I would play with you batch setting until you hit a number your cell provider can text , start at batch 15 or less if your system can keep up.
