We have 39 positive cases at a state facility a half mile from us. It is a state supported living center for adults with mental deficiencies, and they just recently tested all staff and residents so I expect that number to be much higher once the results come back.

Nursing homes and prison systems will be BADLY hit with this as well.
Only known cases in our county are in a skilled nursing facility and there are 18 of them there. Brought in by a staff member. 11 residents and 7 staff members.

I have a close friend who owns and operates numerous nursing homes. He tested all staff and residents. One facility had 5 staff and 30 residents test positive. None of them had any symptoms nor any idea they had the virus. Interesting.Suspect there is still much more to learn more about this virus.

If they don't ever get symptoms that is a GREAT sign to me. Keep us updated on that if you can. Again, this is why I say we cant possibly know the death rate or hospitalization rate unless we know the infection rate. We need LOTS of testing. It would be great if we have 25 million infected people walking around with no symptoms if you ask me.

It would be great, if those 25 million people develop an immunity to it, so it isnt caught again a month later.

I know a guy that drinks a LOT of gin and tonics. We think he has nine lives Maybe there’s something to this. LOL.
No wonder i've been acting like this is no big deal. I have so much tonic water in my system it isn't even letting me take this thing seriously.

The numbers still don't add up for me. Another good article on the death rate going lower all the time, yet the scare mongering continues on the MSM. Also none of them have this story on their web sites as near as I could find. It should be the fricken lead story!!!

It also helps with cramps :emoji_point_up:

I used to drink a ton of tonic water. Not with gin it, just straight tonic water.

Probably not the dumbest thing. Good thing it isn’t deer season.....

Hope this isn’t fake news. Just stumbled across this while on YouTube. Positive news if true.

Damn Coronavirus cost me a restate transaction. My buyer of my property(small business owner got shutdown) and got cold feet and bailed out on the contract. :emoji_rage:

Wife finds out on Monday if she gets a 10% paycut on top of the 25% reduction in hours. Thankful for the large emergency fund.

Kansas governor is now telling non resident turkey hunters to stay home and they will refund the permit.

Feeling for you guys.... I hope the pay cut doesn’t happen. Last week my company slash every salary employees pay by 20%. On top of cutting merit increases For 2020, 401k matching, etc. hoping for a speedy recovery when the time comes.

My er doc buddy is saying tests are about 50% accurate. So he said logically there are thousands upon thousands of “false negatives” out there which is a good thing. Death rate is lower than published and more and more people are developing an immunity

and yet they are predicting 100,000-240,000 people to die from it within the next couple weeks in the US? Just doesnt seem right!

right. It’s weird cause I have no idea what to believe anymore. One part of me thinks we need to take it very seriously and then I see or hear something that says it’s all hysteria.

With part of this stimulus there is what is called the Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP) employers are encouraged to keep all of their employees on full time pay. I don't have the info in front of me at the moment but it is retro active back to a certain date and I believe it runs for 8 weeks. Business need to apply for the loan at a qualifying lender and If they follow the rules so to speak the loans will be treated as a grant and not need to be payed back.

I know the feeling. I’m kinda thinking that if we get through this stuff and the huge influx of people at hospitals, it’s maybe ran it’s course and affect most that would need hospitalizations at that point. Especially if 25-50% could be asymptomatic. Of course I have zero scientific evidence to back that theory up.

Please listen to the part saying to take it very seriously. The slower it progresses, the less stress on the health care system and staff and more time they have to improve therapies, testing, and vaccine development. The faster and bigger it gets, the more people we'll lose that could have survived.

My accountant sent me that information yesterday---I declined any loan/gift and told him that businesses applying for free money isn't going to help anything. It will only cause more problems. My business is still open and employing our workers just like we always have. I don't want to take advantage like so many will. If you NEED it then go for it otherwise you are no different than the worthless bastards that could work but choose not to work because they can get everything free. I absolutely have a problem with people that choose to be worthless.
