Yeah, I don't think it matters. I don't believe elections are fair anymore. I've seen too many cheats to believe the powers that be will allow us to pick our representatives. I used to be embedded deep in party politics in MN many years ago. I was there when they picked a new party chair at the state level. I was there when Emmer was shoehorned onto the ballot and it ushered in the reign of governor pill popper. Emmer's feat was losing the only race republicans lost in 2010. Democrats that won by 40 point margins in the past went down that year. Still couldn't pull off the MN governors race.

I saw first hand the GOP sabotage their own candidates to maintain power, even if that meant helping democrats win. I was on the floor at the state convention watching the machine work. I was there when chairman after chairman tried to keep a lid on the grass roots. It was always DC vs rural county republicans, and even those alliances shifted around to help get rid of problem children that were good people.

Throw in 2000 mules, and all the things that happened in plain view to make sure populists don't get anywhere near power, and I arrive at my stand today. If the power doesn't want someone winning, they will not win.

Ok Funny Billy Squire story. I'm at one of our plants with some co-workers doing IT stuff. Anyway, we are driving back to the hotel when The Stroke comes on. So as the chorus comes on, one of my co-workers is singing "Smoked Meat, Smoked Meat". I say, "what are you singing?" and she tells me and I point to the radio where the title of the song is displayed from the radio station and we just started busting out laughing.
