Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

Educators are being fired for these comments because it shows a couple of things.

1. They're trying to indoctrinate their students into this extreme liberal mindset
2. They're incapable of being fair to any students who don't share in their liberal mindset.

Fire away!

I dont know if FCC actually had anything to do with Kimmels firing. I dont know if trump did. But if you look at his viewership, he needed to be fired. I have fired someone because the habitually couldnt show up for work on time. I think the network probably thought we have been needing to get rid of this guy bleeding our money - now is the perfect time when he blatantly - and without a doubt - knowing lied on public tv

There’s no place for espousing or celebrating violence, murder most of all, on religious, cultural, racial, political grounds. To an employer, an employee that does so simply isn’t useful. They’re at best divisive and dangerous at worst.
That's just wrong. If it doesn't get brought back into the workplace then it's not the employers business. I get what you are saying but that is a very slippery slope that has and will be used against the other side also . It's not ok for either side

That’s just naive. If it’s on social media, it’s in the workplace. Keep it to yourself.

Or are you one of the apparent millions that wants Evangelicals dead?

I disagree. If my sales manager posted hate on his personal page. I’d fire his A$$ in a heart beat.

Seems interesting. We'll see what comes of it.

That is just stupid liberal talk. What are you going to do , cyber stalk me and try to get me fired because you don't like what I said so you can be like your liberal friends?
Social media is not the work place. You can not like what someone has to say all you want ,that does not give you the right to try to ruin their life.

That would be your right as a business owner. I don't agree with it but it's your right. If that post affected your business, different story, but to fire someone simply because you don't agree with what they say effectively lowers your work place by at least 50% realistically probably 75%.

but to fire someone simply because you don't agree with what they say
Not because I don’t agree with someone. Heck I’d end up firing everyone if that is what I meant. I meant for posting hate speech about someone who was murdered.

I get what you're saying Loser, and I would say you've been thru some HR training. However, social media has changed everything in regards to "free speech", and it feels like to me everythings coming to a boiling point, and will have to be formally addressed.
I agree with Bill 100%. Employees who want to post some vile shiite will have to answer to their employers/owner perception of how far it crosses their line, and that it could result in their dismissal. Kinda like a school teacher who joins only fans and shows off her coochie. Yep, that's her private time, 1rst amendment, all of that...but she's not representing the values of the institution, so see ya!

My son was told by college coaches years ago that aspiring college athletes need to keep their social media clean. No references to drugs, violence, gangs, etc. Said it's not always up to the coach. Sometimes the AD comes to them, sometimes it might be the school's president or a board member. Doesn't matter where it comes from or how old it is, it might get you dismissed from the team and scholarship removed.

It's a wild time. A kid at a party, holding a beer for a friend who went to the bathroom, can have his pic taken and put online without ever knowing about it, then have to deal with consequences 5yrs later. I'm so glad there was no internet, phone cameras, and social media when I was a kid doing stupid kid stuff.

It's not about free speech, it's about right or wrong. I don't believe I ever said a teacher should be able to operate an only fans and still be a teacher, but ok..
I will break it down even further so maybe someone will get it. Just because someone in the private sector says something we don't like, or don't agree with, or just offends our delicate sensibilities does not give anyone the right to dig into them find out where they work and lobby to have them fired.
I never said anything employer doesn't have the right to fire whomever they please, don't necessarily agree with firing someone because I disagree politically with them as that seems grossly short slighted but whatever trips your trigger, it's your right as the business owner.
For me, I am in a "management" position, if I as the symbolic face of the company posted something I would expect I would be fired. But someone below me on their own time, outside of work with nothing to do with the company? None of my business. Don't have to agree, but as I've said 1000 times already, if it doesn't affect the company I don't see how it's my business. Doesn't matter to me if it's on social media, in a letter, hell write it in the sky,I don't care
Guess I'm just tougher maybe? I don't let what some random no one on Facebook says bother me all that much that id want to try to ruin their life. But I guess if that is what gets some of you guys off, go to it

i agree with you my man! I don't care about ruining someone life over their opinion either, but, the line between work and personal life is pretty gray.
Hey Cat, I know you're in the school system, so you'll appreciate this...back about 15 years ago, Jenks High School (where both my wife, me, and my son attended school) went down the rabbit hole, and started checking all students and employees social media accounts. If you were a student, and had any pics of you with a solo cup in your hand, you were kicked off whatever athletic team you were on. I think the tennis team, swimming team, football, etc lost quite a few players. Now, this high school is at the upper eschelon of oklahoma high school athletics. State champs in many sports, every year. High median family income. Highly supported booster clubs, etc. So you know that the well off parents of the kids who were kicked off flexed their muscles, and it didn't make a damn bit of difference.
I personally thought that was a little overboard, however, I appreciated the fact that this school system had standards, and they had to be met or there was going to be a penalty. And that's why they're regarded as an excellent public school system.

Look at Laremy Tunsil, day before the NFL draft his draft stock was rumored to be sliding and then it came out he had a picture taken of him that surfaced from a time he smoked some weed. Cost him millions in his draft position doing something that was probably legal (either way who gives a damn).

Bet you recognize some of these spots.

Lol, you're a mile from my house. I live on the other side of Jenks where the golf course is at. Played football there myself, but of course grass back in the day. Los Cabos on the Riverwalk is one of the best Mexican restaurants anywhere, and that Riverwalk crossing used to be the little league baseballs fields back in the day. Those buildings in the background were built by evangelist Oral Roberts, and they were called the City of Faith Towers. I think he told the masses that if they didn't contribute to build these buildings, that the good lord was going to call him home, seriously.
ORU, Oral Roberts University, is to the left of those buildings. If you're into architecture, you'd be amazed at the buildings on that campus. They're like nothing you've seen before.
Since you're a track guy, I'm sure you know who Joe Dial is. World record pole-vaulter back in the day. He's the track coach at ORU, and is from Jenks. We coached against each other in football for years, and he's truly a great guy, great family!

Small world! Cool stuff, I didn't know much about the area.

So Chuck Shumer owns an "Aerospace" company. The new financial administrator at NASA could not figure out what the company does. So he canceled their $14 million per year no-bid contract.

I bet nothing ever happens about it.
