Yeah I was typing and reading really fast today from work with Mortenson. Sorry...no context to WTF I was trying to convey.
What I was so ineptly trying to convey was all the talk about defunding the war in Ukraine and all the cozying up to Putin and his crony oligarchs from some on the right to include Trump. I don't understand that sentiment. And you see a fair amount of that kind of talk here on the forum from time to time. And the Chinese I just kind of lump together with all communists. Kind of like you lump all the liberal hippies in with all communists. And I don't get the turning back on of Tik Tok by Trump after it was banned due to a national security threat assessment that he himself initiated years ago. Feels too cozy for me.

The tik tok thing pisses me off as of right now. Unless there’s some grand plan to use it as leverage and get it out of Chinese hands I will forever believe he was bought and paid for on that. He literally has the Supreme Court saying it’s a Chinese vessel for collecting data. Zero reason whatsoever to have it. The Chinese don’t have Twitter or facebook or instagram or truth social or whatever else we bring to the table yet we allow them to go in dry on us.
It’s ridiculous for anyone to call it a 1st amendment issue. We don’t allow the Chinese to own any media outlet. Social media is THE new media outlet. Get them the hell out of here

Not riled up at all. Accept it wasn't typed out right. Agree on the tic toc sentiment. Liberals are commies... No dispute there. If you are liberal you are a communist it's simple really. I don't think anyone,.trump included is cozying up to anyone. He recognizes that the Ukraine war is going no where good, and it needs to end. Ukraine is corrupt as hell and has taken billions, from the US and should give up something in return, they can't win ,it has to end, and someone needs.to.give something up for that to happen. That's how.wars typically end.

I'm all in favor of pardoning the J6er's that didn't assault the police. There's probably about 15 or so I would have scrutinized a bit more.
Jury is out for me on TikTok. I'll wait to see what he has up his sleeve with a 75 day extension. Something tells me there is more to the story then I know at this point.
Some criminal illegals are heading home tonight, there are officially two genders, DEI offices in the US Gov are being shut down and Gov worker have to go to the office rather than working from home. A big one that hits home for me is the offshore windmills are on hold and we can stop killing the whales the left used to love. Not a bad couple days and I know I left some things out...

The guy designed a site where people could buy and sell using Bitcoin. He didn't design a site to specifically sell drugs. Your argument is the same as claiming that firearm manufacturers specifically make weapons to be used for murders. They don't. They make firearms and the end user determines what the firearm will be used for, be it good or evil.I wish there was no such thing as presidential pardons. It’s become a bargaining chip to pander for votes and to protect those who don’t deserve protection cause they were on whichever presidents side.

The USSR was a loathsome, violent, corrupt dictatorship during WWII, but we backed them in war against Nazism. I feel the same way about the current war in Ukraine. I don't know if Ukraine is corrupt? Even if they are, Russia is the worse enemy, and I personally feel like we should take on Russia wherever she tries to bully the world. We should have finished them off in 1945 when we had the chance as Patton wanted. 80 years and endless proxy wars later we are still dealing with them.
You're absolutely right though...this war is not going to end with the Ukrainians marching into Moscow like we marched into Berlin or Baghdad. Not sure how it ends. I fully admit though that I am biased against the Russians. I really don't like them. They are in many ways still a violent, corrupt, loathsome dictatorship.

Don't get me wrong, not a Russia fan boy myself, but at the end of the day we finally have a strong enough leader to step in and say enough. Russia gets a little, Ukraine gets rebuilt the world moves on. It's the only way it can end at this point IMHO, Russia not getting something out of this leaves them dissatisfied and looking for revenge,not good for the whole world. The sad thing is all it would have taken is a US leader at least coherent enough to keep this from starting in the first place, but we haven't had that since Trump 1.
As far as Ukraine being corrupt, any nation aligning themselves that close with the Biden family is corrupt by association

Ukraine is extremely corrupt.
Putin needs someone to explain to him that his mission to take territory is a lost cause. His best bet for the future of Russia is to stop stealing everything from the country and convince Russians to have more kids. If he carries on like he is, the Russian people will start dying out, and the country will be an easy target for just about anyone who wants the resources of the land.

Russia isn’t going to stop with Ukraine. If they can get a deal to hold some Ukrainian territory they will just use that time to regroup and stabilize the home front. This has been going on since around 2014 when they annexed Crimea. This is a long term project.
I am encouraged with Trumps statements that he intends to increase sanctions against Russia but will it be enough.

We were typing at the same time. You are spot on. Russia actually has programs encouraging women to have more babies. I think they have even encouraged having more sex in the workplace. They are in that much trouble with population. How crazy is that.

I’m pretty disgusted with some of the J6 pardons. There were some incidents with police that were far from minor.

Good news is Trump said he will end the war in 24 hours, which 24 hours I’m not sure. I’ll defer to him cause I don’t know the best path forward. Ukraine is a corrupt hellhole but Russia is a million times worse. Allowing Russia to gain valuable territory and resources would not be good for the world. I don’t mind the endless quagmire of losing an entire Russian generation but I wouldn’t mind cutting off our resources to finance and arm it.
We’ll see. We are learning a lot from all this. Ramping up production and manufacturing of munitions is probably a good lesson. I don’t think anyone realized how important manufacturing 155 howitzer rounds and barrels would be.

The only way any war ends is if one side gives something up, land, resources, power, money,etc. So the only way this ends is for Ukraine to give something up, this helps stabilize Russia to a degree, thus hopefully lowering the possibility of them pulling this again. Ukraine can not gain from this simply to what that would do to Russia standing in the world stage. That would almost force them to act out again to save face. Only other way this could end would be for the US to enter the fray and take over Russia and turn it over to Ukraine lol. Hopefully that would never happen
