Bluehill 2025

According to the website, Houdini represents a mix of trees that are unknown. They had no tags, so they are a mix of whatever else he sells.

Alot of places sell leftover trees at a discount towards the end of the purchasing part of the tree season. Might be doing that too. I can imagine the early droppers don't sell as good. Probably going to get a trailman in the mix.....

I like Trailman for eating and applesauce.

Darn. I missed the boat on the Houdini trees. They had 41 last time I looked a few days ago. Went to make an order, and they're sold out.

I did the same thing. I told myself it'll save me time next spring and felt better for a bit.

That's crazy. I saw the same and now I am glad I didn't hesitate. They must have had a big order because there were something like 80 left a few weeks ago.

I think Ryan has more customers than you would expect.
Apparently lol. Selling through that many trees that are unmarked after the major sales on his website speaks to his reputation.
I bought as many of the unmarked ones would fit inside the box for my order I placed earlier in the fall.

He has found more Houdini's. You better jump if interested

Whats the difference between turkey creeks prime time and bluehill's prime time.

Do apple trees add value to land? Not why I plant them, but I was just curious.
Nobody needs hunting land really. People want it, your parcel looks nicer than the other guy's, he will not mind paying the extra money.

Helped a buddy put a foodplot in and some mild improvements to hunt there. New owenrs liked the house, but kept talking about the foodplot out back.

Even people who do not hunt, but want some rural land. Apples and other fruit are a plus.

there are folks who flip properties on here. Adding a few helps for sure. A guy at my hunting club hunts alot of NYC water supply lands in the catskills. He just about only hunts near old orchards he finds wandering around.

A large number f them might be imtimidating thinking of all the work you need to do. A little food, a little shelter and a little water should make a property more desireable. Buy 10 trees, 100ft of fence and put it in 2 or 3 spots.

Maybe it'll help a property sell easier. I planted a honeycrisp in my yard and have several other like Fuji and gala planted around. I don't expect a realtor to adjust my property up because of them, but a buyer may choose my property over another because of it.

A hunter may also like the chestnuts, pears, and other trees I've added to the woods, but again I don't know if it adds value other than makes a quicker sale.

I think everyone would be happy to have apple trees on their new property. Hunters and tree huggers would likely both feel the same way about a few trees up to a big orchard.

With so many working remotely, I think a rural or semi rural home with apple trees is a win.
