    perhaps a glyphosate shortage coming

This is how it has been in Canada for some time, at least in Ontario. You need to be a registered farmer to purchase Roundup. A growers pesticide safety coarse is required for more regulated products.

    Has anyone planted anything yet?

Frost seeded clover into 2 acres worth of Brassica plots, from last fall. Still -10 C, so some time before any dirt work gets done!

    When to fall seed clover?

Most of the forage/hay fields are established this way in my area. Best if the spring grain cover is harvested for silage rather then combined, this gives the forage an extra couple of weeks to take off, without competition.

Does oats/Winter wheat grow as easily as winter rye?

You could try Spring Wheat, if you can find it in your area. It germinates much easier than Oats and will winter kill the same as Oats.

    Fall Rye?

Pretty common to be called either in my area.

Whats your go to brassica mix

PTT and Radish. Deer in my area don't hit them until after a good frost. I paid $4.00/lb today.

    Sorghum Sudangrass Experiences

Grows great. Deer don't touch it, except perhaps the seed heads late season, once its goes down. The one negative, as a screen, a hard frost and some wind and its going down.

    Train travel across Canada??

There isn't a "auto-train". Our VIA rail service to Vancouver runs from Toronto. The Toronto to Vancouver run has births available and meals. I don't think the Toronto to the east coast has the same service, check VIA's web site.

Who's working in the woods this weekend?

A little TSI, along with adding to firewood stock pile. Just the right amount of snow on the ground and cold enough for easy splitting.

    New Muzzleloader -- Opinions

It wil come down to personal preference. I have TC's, Knights and CVA inlines, all are good shooters, with the correct load. Break actions with quick release breech plugs are the simplest when it comes to cleaning. Find one that fits you. Shoot a friends if you can. I've converted all my inlines...

Easiest, most effective way to kill spruce trees

You could try introducing Spruce Budworm larva... Nope, just kidding, you don't won't them. Loosing 90% of our mature Spruce and and Balsam.

Who's working in the woods this weekend?

Our Muzzleloader hunt ended last weekend. Deer hunting is done for the season. Time to cut some firewood, winden up trails and nock down some cedar browse. Plenty of dead White Spruce and Balsam, killed by Spruce Budworm, blocking trails.

    Rehab of alfalfa/small burnett stand
