Good charger. I’ve used that exact model for several years.

@Auger - What are you using to spray between the fence rows? I wish mine looked that clean lol.

That's a nice clean bean field. Nice work.Looks great. You using glysophate on fence-row?

Thanks guys! I use a pre-emergent of metalachlor and gly. All my sb were RR2 extend, so I hit them with dicamba around 3-4 weeks post emerge. Really depended on weed pressure of the individual field for the exact timing of the second spraying.

I have spray nozzles on the end of my boom that I can turn on/off for fence line spraying.

I've got LOTS of experience with solar fencing (large plots) of soybeans.
I have used that exact energizer for several years and its a good energizer.

However, it wouldn't be my first choice... I'm short on time at the moment but will elaborate on that later this evening.

The Parmak is a good “all in one charger”. If you insist on a box package that has everything in one box it’s hard to beat. If you’re ok with piecing together a few separate items you’ll get Considerably more juice!

I’m going to attach a picture of the items I put together to make a much more powerful solar setup. Bought everything except the deep cycle battery from Kencove. Putting it all together was simple.

I used a small Rubbermaid bin to stick it all in while in the field.
3 strands of “turbo wire” or comparable wire around 2 acres and zero drop on voltage. 11k volts hooked up and unhooked.
Wire type is extremely important. I made the mistake early on buying “Poly rope” which loses voltage much quicker over longer runs.

I paired my equipment with a deep cycle battery. A deep cycle will keep punching after several cloudy rainy days unlike the smaller internal 12v of the parmak. This year my parmak battery had actually gone bad so I replaced it with a deep cycle. I cut off the leads inside the parmak box and installed some long alligator clamps to run the deep cycle sitting on the ground.

so 1 acre or so the parmak will do the job. It’ll pump 6-7k volts and will hold that pretty good.
If you’re even thinking of fencing much larger areas or if you have stubborn deer where 11k volts is more meaningful than 6k volts... the diy option is far superior.
