I still have some Zima Khurma persimmon scions. I described them in one of my earlier posts -- take a look and let me know if you want them. Cheers!
Do you know if Zima Khurma is astringent and/or drops it's fruit? The reason I ask is that I'd be planting for deer. I would think the raccoons and tree rats would get them first if it's like the asian varieties but perhaps I'm wrong.

It has not produced for me yet (hopefully this year!), so I don't know for sure. It's actually an American/Asian hybrid according to Cliff England's website.

I know it's getting really late to ask for this, but did anybody still have any Cripps Pink scion? It's the only one left on my must-have list for this year ;)

Snipped my scions today. Would it be better to put them in the wine fridge set at 39 than my normal fridge containing produce? It'll be for 4 weeks.

I do not store mine in the same fridge as fruit. I would double bag if you have to do so.

I have yet to convince my wife that we need a second fridge, so I store mine in the only one we have with fruit coming and going, and have never had any issues. I do keep them in a sealed ziploc bag though.

The cost of a 2nd bag is reasonable compared to the risk of even one failed graft. ‍♂️

When I have to use the main fridge I double bag and haven’t had any problems. I now have a beer fridge in the garage, only problem there is that it isn’t insulated and if it gets too cold the paper towel freezes, although it hasn’t seemed to reduce success so far.

I have the same situation as you with a fridge in a in heated garage.

It seems to work.

Most of my trees are pretty common. But I do have a Johantorp that when I trimmed it today I saved a few sticks. Free to the 1st good home who wants them for grafting this year.

No one else has responded about Belle De Boskoop, so yeah, I'd appreciate it if you could check when you have a chance. If you do have some to send (I only need 1 stick, perhaps two in case I screw up), I'd be happy to pay for S&H since I am not sending you anything back. Thanks again!
I cut some yesterday for you if you still want them. Just shoot me a PM.

So far, I have Honeycrisp, Rome Beauty, and some wild crab scions I can share.

I think that the variety called "Ide's of March" could be an up and comer for people wanting a tree that drops full-sized apples throughout the winter. I traded the last of my "February Dropper" crabapple scions for some sticks of it. Ide's of March is a chance seedling currently being grown by member Oaknut.

To all of you who I promised scion, it went out via USPS this AM.

I have tracking numbers if you need them.

Please let me know if any is damaged enroute.

It is not all ideal scion wood, but I have had pretty good luck with cleft grafts if the scion is smaller than the rootstock diameter.

I heard that Oaknut was out there collecting scions until 9:00 last night. That is dedication!

Once I can get to some more of my trees, I may also have some Braeburn, Red Delicious, Honeygold, and Haralred scions.
