Started out with float testing nuts and storing in refrigerator with a wet / damp paper towel for 90 days. every 2 weeks, float testing the whole batch and replacing paper towel. the plastic bag was left open, but folded over. no nuts were lost over 90 day period.

Have been taking an unmanaged woods and canary grass creek bottom into some worthwhile landscape. cutting trees, planting trees, adding shrubs, feathering edges. here is biggest field that is solely canary grass, 6 foot tall in august, flat and open in novemeber.

lost several trees this yr. had a brutal stretch of zero degree weather this past winter that would not let up. Despite that, granny smith, gold rush and eneterprise all came through well and fruiting nicely. especially the enterprise.

Wanted to plant some nut trees. Starck nursery sells walnut for 39.99 vs Gurney's for 8.99 and nearly same price diff for pecans or chinese chestnut. Why would Starck nursery be worth the extra$$$$$?
