Field scoring I'm usually on the high side but even if I cut 5"'s out he's still grossing 150 on the low end.

That buck is 150 gross (nets are for fisherman) all day long IMHO

Love that quote! I agree.

Nice, is that a fish on or just the down rigger?

Found the only way I can beat sea sickness is to slam a beer or 2 before I step on deck, not sure what it is, otherwise my stomach gets tied in knots.

Left Friday at 2am heading West
Was looking for a challenge an found one.

Cactus every 3 ft, 90 degree weather, an bino visoned goats made for a fun first spot an stock attempt.

Had one good oppertunity an made it to 40 yards, was just knocking an arrow ready to pull up when the NNE wind switched to directly out of the E, strange wind for the area.Think he crapped his bed moving so fast to get out of dodge.

Learned a ton, made plenty of mistakes.
elbow an knee pads next go round - check

No rest for the wicked, one more OT filled week at work, then goose opener over the weekend, then back West the next weekend to seek revenge. Hoping the rut will ramp up an they loose their minds looking for love.

Good luck!

I have a speed goat muzzleloader tag this year for NE. Takes 3 to 4 years to draw one anymore. Might be my first hunt of the fall. Archery deer opens hear on Saturday, but I am in no means prepared. Might just roll the dice and see what happens maybe lady luck will shine on me.

Change of scenery to wake up to, better than my drive to work, ha
Changing things up, plan to glass this morning for a spot to drop a blind tonight for tomorrow morning, then put some miles on the boots this afternoon.

Update 9/9/18
No dice, came up snake eyes
Fun tho, at one point had 4 nice ones within 107yrds for three hrs, graze bed stand repeat, came real close this morning, if I had set up the ambush point 20 yards further south would of ended up with a dandy, just out of reach, got the calender marked for next year an have a better idea for a plan heading in

My bad for the grainy pic, phone is not great out to that distance, swear at one point one of them was trying to stare a hole through the blind to try an figure the thing out.

Hunting red deer in old spruce forest in western Norway. Lots of rain this morning, but clearing up for the evening hunt.

I wish we could use suppressors without all the regulatory hoops over here in the states...

All of my barn swallows left Labor Day weekend, and the mosquitos are impossible! Probably had 5 dozem on me covering a 200 yard walk to my stand before the thermacell was effective.

Doubt I'll see anything here at the house but it's too hot to carry a stand into public land.

The downside is that guns and ammunition are heavily regulated here.

When I started hunting and shooting with a silencer here about 5 years ago I never looked back. It makes shooting so much more pleasant. They even seem to reduce recoil. I hope the policies in the US relax to allow more people access to silencers.
