Apple p orn

First year Redfield in pot. I pruned all but one apple just to see what it would look like. I'll transplant to camp orcard in the fall. It started out bright red right from the beginning.

Geez nature boy, outstanding. What age are most of those trees?

Tell us more about the freedom

The Liberty, Goldrush and Querina were planted in 2008 - 2010, Chestnut crab, Freedom and Galarina around 2012 or 2013 and Centennial crab in 2014.
Freedom ripens in the first couple of weeks of October at our camp, about a week after Liberty. The fruit hangs well on the tree slowly falling from November thru early January most years, it is a dependable annual bearer. The apples are medium to large, not bad for fresh eating, good for pies or sauce. I have found that you have to prune older tees heavily to maintain good fruit production.

Picked up this little early drop Paula Red on Friday. Pretty cool to see how clean my apples are this year with actually spraying!

I would let it turn fully golden colored before i picked it. The Stark Bros. website has good pics of ripe fruits for each variety.

The Curator of the apple collection at USDA Geneva station, Thomas Chao, said Pixie Crunch was his favorite apple when I was at their open house last year. And he's got a few varieties he can compare it to.

Excellent !!

People dog Macintosh- fresh and crisp they are just stellar! Sometimes I think people are just crazy. What a load you’ve got there...color me green! Awesome!

My apple porn this year is more like soft porn :emoji_laughing::emoji_angry: My trees have bore little fruit this year. Plenty of blossoms, no late frosts, but was very wet, rainy when the blossoms were on so perhaps that is the cause. Do have a scattering of apples on a few trees.
A Little Benny. A little too tart for my tastes but a nice small apple with little disease or bug damage.

A Myer's Royal Limbertwig. Huge fruit with a very nice flavor.

Have a few Goldrush, Galarina, Florina, Brushy Mountain Limbertwig and Victoria Limbertwig to try as they ripen.

I had one golden delicious that I showed bagged a few posts up, this was the first harvest from this tree, and my first harvest from an apple tree that I planted. I bagged 3 apples, and this was the only one that stayed on the tree. It started to get two bad spots so I picked it today. Maybe not 100% ripe, but flavor was very good. I bagged when the apple was golf ball size, maybe should have bagged sooner.

That is one beautiful apple! I think perfect apples look boring! That apple has character! How does it taste?
