Sandbur, my Zestar bloomed before anything else, so I didn't get any apples from it this year. So I bought a potted Kinderkrisp from the local nursery as it's supposed to be an early bloomer too. Any idea if those two bloomed the same time for you? What other varieties bloom as early as your Zestar?

I have not paid any attention to blooming time. I have two varieties of flowering crab, dolgo, Golden Hornet, and many varieties of other crabs to pollinate trees.

Here is another seedling probably from the same seed collection. A bit smaller, paler to almost white, and sweeter.

Any pics of the almata flesh? I grafted it just this year so no apples. But I heard it has red flesh?
