    Roundup Power Max

I'm wondering if anyone has used Roundup Power max that's 48% gly compared to regular products with 41% gly. Normally I spray our RR beans after they've emerged and don't know if the higher dosage would stunt or kill them.

    Help with contest

Hello everyone, Normally I wouldn't ask for help but my cousin and I are neck and neck to win this contest. It takes 30 seconds to vote. I'll post a picture of the picture below but it's a corn plot with brassicas in the middle with our grandparents farm in the background that has been in the...

    Drilling into standing Rye

So this may have been discussed on here before and if so, I apologize. I am wanting to no till drill soybeans into standing rye. My question is will me drilling into the standing rye kill the rye, or would i need to still spray glyphosate to kill the rye?

    CWD

Well I thought about not even making a thread about this, but I feel like everyone needs to see it. I always hear people saying that they never find any dead deer in the woods or that CWD isn't a issue. Well to all the haters, here is proof. We've known about this buck for 2 years and he has...

    Boys of summer

This year has been insane for us and getting pictures of big deer. The first buck is a 5 year old we have history with. We believe when he's finish growing, he will likely be the biggest deer we have ever had a chance at. The 2nd buck is a deer I would love to go underground for the year...

    Public land hunters

Just curious out of all the people who hunt public land here, how far do you have to go to get away from other hunters? I've been helping a buddy on some public ground and the area we found is roughly 1.5 miles from the parking lot. I know from trail cameras we have 2 giant bucks on camera...

    DIY hay bale blind

I decided this summer I was going to attempt to make a hay bale blind. I made a 6' by 6' wooden frame that was 7 feet tall and used wire gauge to shape it. Next I put a tarp over it to waterproof it and finally used a hay blanket that I rolled onto it. It took me a couple weekends to build...

Can't wait to see him in November

This deer is a 5 year old that we gave the name Potbelly and I think you can see why. This is the 3rd year he's been around and he's always had a gut on him but this year he really added on the body weight. He's never been much in the antler dept but I don't even care.

Taking a year or 2 off from food plots?

Has anyone ever taken a year or 2 off from planting food plots? It seems like the last couple years have been a struggle for me with food plots and it just isn't as fun as it used to be. Thinking if I take a break from it to unwind, maybe it will do me some good. Anyone else experience this?

    Difference in 2 properties

We've done some pretty intense logging on our property over the last 5 years. 3 years ago, we had all the ash trees removed before disease set in. Then this past year we clear cut a 10 acre section to let the woods regenerate with sugar maples. While standing on a logging road that separates...

    Mr. freak daddy

Checked cameras for the first time this year and found this non-typical on it. No prior history that I know of. For early June he seems to have alot of antler growth. Can't wait to see what he turns into.

    Frost seeding clover into brassicas?

I was wondering if you can frost seed clover into a brassica field that has uneaten brassicas in it? My only concern is when it gets warm, the uneaten brassicas will blossom and cause more issues later on. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Photos that bring a good feeling to myself

We planted brassicas for 5 years without the deer even nibbling on them. Last year the deer seemed to have found them and we had pretty good success with them. I was hoping this year they would hit them even harder and that last year wasn't just a fluke. Well I went to check cameras yesterday...

    Beans or winter rye/clover?

We have a 2 acre food plot and I'm hoping to get some advice on what to plant. 1 acre gets planted in brassicas and normally the other acre has been beans but I'm considering not planting beans and going with a rye/clover mix. The reason I'm considering changing things up is it seems like the...

    North side hills during winter

In our area, deer seem to prefer to bed on a north long drawn out side hill. Our land has a south side hill that gets used some but not nearly as much as our neighbors north side hill. Both woods are roughly the same type of hardwoods. We have roughly 4-5 acres of standing crops which I would...

    Bad neighbors?

We seem to have some bad neighbors that surround our land. From guys who drive around right before last light and holler in their woods, having amish who shoot everything, to guys who do drives and don't look for deer after they shoot at them. Is this the "norm" for neighbors anymore? Is the...

    He's vulnerable

One of our top hit list bucks has shown his weakness. The picture right before these were of a doe. The time is close everyone.

    I think he's mature

Here is a buck that showed up this fall. He may be a buck we had on camera last year but we aren't for sure about it. Needless to say, I think he's a mature buck.

    Big deer finally moving

Finally had some cooler weather in Wisconsin and the big deer started moving. We had 4 4+ year old bucks on camera this past week. Just gotta hope one makes a mistake this fall.

New 4 year old showed up

Checked cameras and had a new 4 year old show up. Hopefully he sticks around but I have a feeling a couple other 4 year old's are gonna run the show in the area this buck showed up. For what it's worth, this camera is under a apple tree that is loaded with apples.
