So far 16 sits between bow & gun ... approximately 65-70 hours in the stand ... some days I have had 25-30 deer in front of me ... why do we hunt, because we can ...

On the contrary I have about 70 hours in the stand so far this year and my total deer count is at 14. I'm sure this wasn't 14 different deer and the largest buck was a 6 pointer.

Passed on a six pointer tonight. Well sort of. I had a case of indecisiveness when I first saw him and then once I decided I would take a clean shot if presented with one he got downwind of me and bolted. Oh well that's hunting.

You guys earned that one and that makes it even better. It's great when they zero in on the decoy and show behavior we rarely see otherwise. Very good mass on that buck. Real high but tight racks seem to be one of the common traits in the area.

Welcome to my world :). Indecision or rather, lack of one has cost me a few this year. Still a good year so far.

75 hrs on the stand and all I have to show for it is this sand county buck . All things considered it was still a great season for our camp with two bucks and a doe between the three of us.

Back out for another try. I would just like for something to walk past my son. He has not seen a deer yet. Wind direction is good and I think my Nieghbor’s left so maybe the deer will filter back by us. Fingers crossed.
