It does have a lot longer history in "most" areas. It was made a "statewide" regulation in '86 to make the seasons and rule structure align.

M mthompson 5 year old buck + Nov 15, 2016 #4 I recently read the book "On the Hunt: The History of Deer Hunting in Wisconsin" by Robert C Willging. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to get a deeper, richer understanding of deer hunting here in WI. I found it at my local library.
