I thought I would post this up as I'm sure we have a fair amount of guys on here that pursue the big bald birds. This is a link to the WI DNR 10 year turkey management plan. 116 pages of great info and history on the wild turkey in WI, habitat, brood rearing statistics, etc. There is also a link on the turkey hunting page to leave questions or comments on the plan that is open for commentary until Feb 20th.

How long after that did you have to wait for an open season to get a tag for one?

EArly 90s were the first tags. It might have been 91.

Nice read. My place was one of the re release sites in 1982 referenced on page 24. We have the vhs tape of the release.
