Whitetail Hollow - 80 acres NE Oklahoma

Thanks Scott! We have had a great year!

Well haven't posted in awhile on this one...

Got the dozer back out last weekend and had a bunch of projects completed...

We expanded the original clover plot by about 1/3rd...3815 plot expansion.jpg 3915 plot expand.jpg

Then we went north a few hundred yards and built plot #2 out of the solid woods...3815 new plot started.jpg 3815 new plot work.jpg 3815 completed plot.jpg

3815 new pond completed.jpg Then in the corner of the plot we built another small waterhole out of a nice red clay...3815 new pond started.jpg

Created the clearing in the woods for our new home...3715 starting clearing.jpg 3715 homesite cleared.jpg 3715 pad started.jpg 3715 completed pad.jpg

Powerline cut to our new home. Had to get an easement from a neighbor to go across a portion of their land to have power. Luckily they were amiable about it since they only have 1/2 acre on the side of the road the powerline had to go across and they have 49 1/2 acres on the other side...3915 powerline cut.jpg

We will be living on our property in the not too distant future... I have already planted the new plot in Clover and Chicory just before an all day soaking rain we got yesterday. I have to finish cleaning up the expansion on our original plot location and broadcast clover on it before the next rain that may be here Thursday...

Some good work there. When are u starting to build?

Man you can do work with a dozer! Good for you! Were those oaks you were pushing over?

Thanks! We are going to start as soon as the ground drys out enough to get concrete trucks in there...

Yes, a lot of that was small Post Oak and Hickory. I used the pushed trees in a wall on 2 sides and a 50 yard belt of hinged trees as a buffer from the neighbors property so if they ever hunt that part they can't see the plot at all...

Looks awesome as usual!

I really need to start updating this thread... We have been living here over a year now and it is as great as I always hoped it would be

Looking forward to your updates.

I love tap a talk...

After clearing all the place out for our new home and a new plot across the road we finally got our home in early April 2015...we opted for a nice 1600 sf modular for the wife and I.

I had a couple bucks I was after last fall but it didn't work out. The laid back 9 point disappeared the first week of October and the big brow tine buck disappeared to never be seen again a week later... Even though it was archery only the guns were booming in the woods every morning I left for work

Had a few more that made it through season but didn't give me an opportunity...
