What is this weed. It is invading my clover bad. Thanks!

It looks like smartweed. Great duck food if you flood it but I've never heard of deer eating it.

It's a broadleaf. It's listed as one of the weeds that Butyrac will control.

Yep - smartweed. I have it bad in a clover plot of mine as well. I hit my plot with a reduced mixture of gly to try to kill it off. It is a broadleaf. Established clover will typically bounce back come cooler temps as long and you don't put too stout a shot of gly on it. I tend to have to do this every few years because smartweed can be pretty aggressive.

Wondering if Butyrac will be effective on it this mature into summer? I just mowed the clover yesterday.

Butyrac does not do anything to smartweed. Basagran and it's replacement Bentazon 4, "control" it according to the label. In my experience they just knock it back a little. The only thing that I have found that hammers smartweed is Raptor and it's identical twin Clearcast.
It only take 5oz of Clearcast per acre so the price per acre is cheaper even if you could use Butyrac if my recollection is correct.
