Weather

.4 for me last night. Chance for some redevelopment this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

havent had a drop since I put in 60lbs of rr corn, and 2 lbs of sweet corn, touching 90 here since planting. going to be in a holding pattern for at least a week, going away, then coming back, and heading upstate after that to work on a house for two weeks, will walk back in with plots ready for a light disc to destroy weed seeds coming up, and prep for the fall plantings of ptt, ghr, cc, when it cools off more the durana, medium red, and nurse crop cereal grains will go in.

We got a little less than an inch last night and now have a long line of showers to our nw sliding across and slightly down towards us,, guessing we will get a bit more today... It was looking like I was going to need to water the garden as it was just starting to dry up a bit, we have been lucky, they got hammered again up north... too much there not enough elsewhere - been a crazy spring/summer.

Todays Forecast for La. HOT, really hot. Slight chance of afternoon showers with continued heat. Next forecast early Sept.

I live in the Kansas Bermuda Triangle. You see rain coming and it vanishes without a trace. Yesterday was almost unreal how it fell apart. They issued and emergency declaration and are allowing emergency hating of crp

I'm hoping all you guys & your families in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky & Tennessee are safe from the tornadic weather & hail. Weather Channel's been showing tornadoes, funnel clouds, large hail, & straight-line wind damage. Stay safe & batten down the hatches, boys.

Over 7 inches of rain over the weekend....Before that, we hadn't had a drop in quite a while. Transplanted a bush on Sunday morning after having 6" of rain on Saturday and the soil was bone dry after the top 1.5-2" so it all just ran off as it came down to hard and fast.

Neighbor is trucking water to his cattle. He is moving them to another pasture with deeper ponds tomorrow.

Pretty dry in the sands of central wisconsin. Hard to grow much of a food plot when the grass in my yard is brown and hasn't needed to be cut for a month.

Big red blob on radar plowing through my land right now! Funny how good that feels. We needed it bad.

11 inches below normal. Right now this is to my west. I hope it keeps coming.

We are getting s good soaking rain right now, supposed to last most of the day. I spread urea on my brassicas yesterday and got one throw and mow cereal grain plot in so I thought it wouldn't rain which seems to always happen when we're supposed to get a good rain.

I am glad I planted beans this spring. We had plenty of moisture to get them to canopy. July and August have been a totally different story. Where I plot we have had under an inch of rain in well over a month. I walked behind a tiller on Sunday in a wooded plot that I cant get equipment into this time of year because of crops. Had a high percent of rain in the forecast for much of the week. So far I'm 0 for 2 and the forecast looks to be changing. Not for the better I might add.

We were supposed to get 1-2" yesterday but instead topped out at about an 1/8". Nearby areas did very well though :emoji_rage:.

35 degrees on the outdoor thermometer this morning. Got up too late to see if we had any frost.

Had 40 deg this A.M., nice drop in temps the last couple days.

Had about 8" of rain the last two weeks. Makes hunting difficult. And the clouds are blocking out the full moon. Going out tonight to see if maybe we can get a break.

Snow above the treeline today. Should be some good ptarmigan hunting in a few weeks. And the cold air ought to push some deer to lower elevations. Might be bad news for the mushrooms though.
