Well, I was in the right area, just didn't finish the job. The first pair were a little high followed by a teal going the opposite direction. Second pair were smoking but I managed to sling some steal at them and saw a few feathers drop Next pair shot through before I could get on them, then had two sneak in from behind me. Got two shots off and saw feathers falling, just not the ducks.
Great morning to be out there and not bad for a last day of the season on public land.
For the first time in a while, I did not see a goose. As far as eating them, I have tried them baked, grilled, air fried, fried, smoked, cut into poppers a couple different ways and sliced into fajitas.
The poppers were both decent, but the best way was sliced for fajitas. I may need to try them in the crock pot if I ever decide to shoot another one.
