Unknown transplant?

Hello. I started food ploting and habitat improving a year ago and have yet to do anything with fruit trees.
I have a lot of wild stuff growing that I don't prune or spray and thus they yield good some years and other years are terrible so I am in the process of learning.
my parents have a unknown variety of apple tree from Home improvement store that they planted 15- 20 years ago. it's about 3 inch caliper as you can see in the picture. it's canopy, which is about 10 to 15 foot high actually meshes with red cedar branches which are 10 ft away. every year its leaves turn yellow and doesn't produce fruit, so I know it's not immune to the disease the red cedar spreads.
Question is,They want the tree removed so I could simply cut it for them or transplant it.
I grabbed the tree about 4 feet up and I'm able to shift it back and forth and watch the ground move so I don't think it would be difficult. Thanks

Dig out the rootball about as big as the drip edge of the tree 12-18" down...with a backhoe if you have one. Only dig it out when tree is dormant. Then prune it back hard (30%). Keep it well watered for at least one year as it regrows hair roots.
