I've got a handful of beautiful looking oaks/chestnuts that I have outside now to soak up the heat and get acclimated to outdoors. I have them in smaller root bags. If I leave them in them over the summer, am I going to have them die on me once the roots max out? I have 7 gallon bags, what is the trigger to transfer these to the larger bags? Will I see discoloration of the leaves once the roots meet max capacity or will the tops continue to grow?
