Trailcam pics

Crazy stuff.

This camera, I got pictures of deer 3 times since december. But the camera above it located where that arrow points. Just 45 yards down that right side trail. It got all sorts of critters. Lots more deer, more coyotes, foxes, dogs?

They'd all have been in frame, but I guess not enough for the sensor to pick up.

And just to the right of the first camera, is another one on my water hole. There are three cameras within 45 yards, and they avoided two of them. They're not traveling on the "obvious" trail? 03110021.JPG

So I moved the cell camera farther away and to a different angle, hopefully to see just where they're coming through. Need one of those revolver cameras, but I'd be hesitant to leave one out there. Too many new neighbors, too many passers through. No people pics, but 5 different dogs, so people are out and about.

The sensor on the Tactacams is a trip wire sensor. Picture a straight line going from one side to the other of the frame straight across the middle.

These two broke one trail cam antenna and their friend promptly found another camera to mess with. I think he was looking for pears, as you can see blooms on the tree limbs. Dad said he was under the house deck this am.

It almost looks like a kitten in its mouth?
I think so! From the shape of the head and color around the years. At first I thought rabbit or maybe a small wood chuck but now I’m thinking she was moving young ones.

I dunno. Look how wide her mouth is. With that much body hanging down it looks to me like she is grabbing it by the neck and not the scruff of the neck. Thoughts?

Looks like a woodchuck to me when i zoom in. Regardless it’s a great camera capture

I thought it was a squirrel, on my phone anyhow.

Carrying a groundhog??
Maybe! On my computer with the card plugged in it looks like it might be a kitten but really cant tell. I think small groundhog is just as likely though.

I wonder if the growth rate of elk antlers is faster than deer once they start growing? I thought the elk antlers would be larger by now.
